Mr. Lawrence Niekamp is a Deacon and serves at St. John the Evangelist  Catholic Church 5751 Locust Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608-1320. He was Ordained on June 1, 1985 for the Diocese of Sacramento, Deacon Larry  served at two other parishes before being assigned to St. John in July 2005.
Besides his ministry of preaching and adult formation, he has worked as the Parish Business Manager and the parish bookkeeper. Deacon Larry earned a Master of Pastoral Studies in 1999 from Loyola University, New Orleans. He and his wife Norma are involved in several ministries, including Get On The Bus,Food for the Poor, and Clara's House. I would like to welcome and thank Deacon Larry Niekamp of Sacramento, California who has taken on the responsibility of Book keeping /accounts section of CHESS, and Dr. Lindsay Briggs who has also taken on the responsibility of the U.S. Coordination / Secretariat of Catholic CHESS Project. These two again are great volunteers without whom we cannot achieve our desired objectives in terms of coordinating our activities in the United States of America. Meanwhile, I ask you all for your prayers for the project that the Good Lord may continue to direct and guide us all in His wisdom which is beyond all understanding. Together with his wife also, Deacon Larry has been sponsor to some of our children for many years. So, together we have been on this journey. Though he is new to our kind of services and within our platform, Deacon Larry is an experienced book keeper. We pray therefore that the joy of the Lord may continue to be his strength,
and that as he does his bit of this onerous task God may bless him and his family abundantly.
